We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Panel Technician servicing the Perth Metro and WA Region, who is passionate about contributing to the success of our business. You’ll work in the repairs and minor works team across a variety of sites including Commercial sites, Offices, Retail, Aged care, Data centres etc, providing minor repair works, fit outs, fire panel upgrades and breakdowns.

Job Description

What will you do?

  • Installation, programming & commissioning of fire alarm & detection systems where required on fit outs and minor works installations.
  • Performing on site callouts with proven field service experience & ability to troubleshoot, test and repair.
  • Communicate and engage with clients and other Grosvenor employees
  • Identify issues and non-conformances
  • Provide technical support and assistance to the testing team on complexed sites for maintenance
  • Build strong team and client relationships
  • Communicate clearly with clients and other Grosvenor employees
  • Capitalise on the maintenance contract work by being vigilant for any potential repairs, upgrades, refurbs and new business opportunities

Desired Skills and Experience

So what do we need?

  • Trade qualification as an Electrician would be preferred but not essential
  • Current open cabling license, driver’s license and white card
  • Hands on experience with fire electrical repairs, testing emergency breakdowns, maintenance and installations within a commercial space
  • Confidence with computers and software including mobile apps
  • Highly developed communication skills, professional attitude and great personal presentation
  • Curiosity – someone who enjoys autonomy as well as working within a team, and a proactive self-starter
  • Proven ability to achieve targets while maintaining focus on quality
  • EAHL preferred but not required
  • Experience in the programming of FIPs highly desirable
  • Cert II in Fire Protection (optional)
  • FPAS Accreditation (optional)
