Due to a continued growth, we’re on the lookout for a top talent Operations Manager – Fire to work out of our Moorebank office. You’ll build long lasting relationships with our customers by using your skills to diagnose faults and provide solutions! 

Job Description

About the Role:

  • As an Operations Manager the primary responsibilities lies in overseeing the fire service teams across Sydney and Regional NSW from our Moorebank Office to ensure the operational requirements of the Fire business are being achieved.
  • Leading, managing and mentoring the fire service managers.
  • Responsible for the continued, sustainable growth and development of the Fire business in the Moorebank business unit as well as supporting other business units if required within NSW / ACT.
  • Effectively managing the Fire operations including budget development and management, ensuring WHS compliance and KPI development.
  • Develop resourcing structures to meet the business requirements.
  • Provide strategic operational advice.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure service levels are meeting/exceeding expectations.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring that empowers employees to improve their ability to make commercial decisions.
  • Manage maintenance compliance including testing and repair.
  • Consistent review and delivery of the fire teams hazard reports and site surveys.

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 Years’ experience in a Fire Service Management role where you had financial responsibility for a service department.
  • Australian recognised trade qualification in a relevant field. (preferred but not essential)
  • Business Management qualification (Cert IV minimum)
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • WH&S General Induction Card
  • Highly developed business/commercial acumen.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage budgets.
  • Strong client relationship management experience, with proven ability to exceed customer expectations.
  • Team leadership experience.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Expertise in using Enterprise Systems.
  • Advanced communication skills.
