Working from our Moorebank Office, we are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to partner with our operational and construction teams to facilitate and support the implementation of HSEQ programs and initiatives including safe work methodologies, consultation and Inspections & auditing and incident investigations. You’ll work within a small team with a big goal – to get everyone home safe!
Job Description
What will you be doing?
Conducting site visits and subcontractor audits, supporting the ops teams to ensure all HSEQ procedures are implemented
Taking the stage and conducting toolbox talks when required
Working alongside our administration team members to support with compliance on client safety admin portals
Developing/implementing SWMS, risk assessments, site safety plans and incident investigations
Keeping on top of things, always closing outstanding actions from incident reports
Helping to analyse HSEQ information, and build informative reports so the business can be continually improving
Teaching and guiding – helping with the development, coordination and implementation of HSEQ training and audit requirements
Being the face of safety – you’ll meet our techs, you’ll form relationships and your passion for safety will inspire others!
Desired Skills and Experience
We’re looking for someone who has:
A territory qualification in WHS, as well as 3 years’ on the job experience
Demonstrated competence in HSE legislation
The ability to positively influence others
Experience in building facilities, maintenance, service and construction industry is desirable
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills – the ability to talk to anyone about safety!
Advanced computer skills so you can critically analyse data to determine insights and trends.
Adaptability – pivot with conflicting priorities and changes to legislation
The desire to travel – site visits are a critical part of the role, you’ll be boots on the ground, driving our safety culture to technicians on site
Training in auditing is desirable, but an eye for detail should do the trick
Experience in creating and delivering training programs.
Successful history of independently taking initiative and adeptly solving complex problems
Experience within facilities management,engineering or construction sector would be an added bonus
