Grosvenor Engineering Group are looking for a PTL Testing & Compliance - Fire. This unique role will give you the opportunity to work out of our centrally located our Moorebank Office. The role will see you heading out to client sites to manage new and existing relationships, actively seeking new opportunities for growth, and sharing your extensive technical knowledge within the Fire Services Industry.

Job Description

The Role:

  • To monitor and oversee fire testing and compliance activities across existing and new maintenance contracts, ensuring GEG meets its obligations under the EP&A Act and all other relevant legislation.
  • Monitor onsite assessments in accordance with the EP&A Act and local authority requirements, reviewing reports and endorsements for required performance measures.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality of all annual compliance and testing documentation.
  • Oversee the checklist and certification process to ensure timely delivery of annual certifications and effective coordination between testing and compliance teams, minimising costs and maximising profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline testing and compliance processes where required.
  • Monitor and manage the financial of contracted fire and compliance obligations, ensuring all contracted items are delivered at the target gross profit from start to finish
  • Monitor the estimating process to ensure identified defects are quoted accurately and in line with current procedures.
  • Liaise with CAMs, auditors, and other managers to resolve technical compliance and testing issues and close out outstanding items.
  • Facilitate regular compliance and AFSS meetings with stakeholders to track progress, address issues, and remove roadblocks to certification.
  • Provide technical support to other departments as required.
  • Assist with quotations and tender submissions where required, based on skills and operational requirements. 

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements:

  • Confidence in communicating with stakeholders across all levels and backgrounds
  • Relevant fire maintenance experience
  • Proven ability in managing high profile fire maintenance contracts including, compliance, quoting & minor project works
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach and develop your team.
  • Demonstrable emotional intelligence and cultural awareness
  • Strong understanding of the requirements of a AS1851-2012 as well as a detailed understanding of the Annual Fire Safety Statement process.
  • Diploma in Fire Systems Design (Assessment) would be an advantage but not essential.
